On Friday 25th, the Imams, committee and some volunteers went to visit St Luke’s Hospice in Kenton. We learnt about the amazing end of life care and support they provide, free of charge, to the people of Harrow. They go to an amazing extent to cater for people of all religions and beliefs, especially our own Muslim community.
They care for people in the comfort of their own homes as well as in their hospice. We were very impressed by their facilities especially the provisions they make to accommodate all faiths which include providing Halal food to Muslims at the hospice.
They are currently have a young Muslim brother from Jordan in their care who is suffering from cancer and is sadly in the last stages of his life. Imam Hafiz Muhammad Akram, Imam Rashid ul Malik, Imam Hafiz Abdullahi Haji Abdul Hassan and Hafiz Owais Malik all went in to visit him and his family and to pray for him.
We’d like to thank the team at St Luke’s for hosting us at and we invite them to come and visit us at HCM soon.
